Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 14, 2026 · Last updated: May 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how CCSE English ("the App") handles information when you use the App on iOS and/or macOS. "We", "us", and "our" refer to the developer of CCSE English.
- CCSE English is designed to be local-first: your study progress is stored on your device.
- CCSE English does not show ads and does not sell your data.
- If you buy CCSE English Premium, purchases are processed by Apple, and we use RevenueCat to help manage purchase status and entitlements.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
We do not require you to create an account. The App does not ask you to submit your name, email address, phone number, or similar personal information.
If you contact us for support, you may choose to provide information in your message (for example, an email address or a description of an issue). We use that information only to respond to you.
Information stored locally on your device
CCSE English stores study-related data on your device, such as:
- Spaced-repetition (SRS) scheduling and review history
- Session history (e.g., recent sessions, mock exam sessions)
- Progress history (e.g., readiness score history)
- Small tuning values (e.g., estimated study pace)
This data is used to provide core app features (for example, keeping track of what you should review next). This data is not intentionally transmitted to us by the App.
In-app purchases (Premium)
If you choose to purchase CCSE English Premium:
- Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. We do not receive your payment card details.
- We use RevenueCat (a third-party service provider) to help us fetch product offerings, process purchase/restore events, and keep your Premium entitlement status in sync across app launches.
In order to provide purchase and entitlement functionality, Apple and RevenueCat may process information such as purchase and transaction information, app-related identifiers and device information used to associate purchases with an app installation, and diagnostics related to purchase flows.

How We Use Information
- Provide and improve CCSE English features (study sessions, progress, and readiness)
- Maintain Premium purchase functionality (if you choose to use it)
- Respond to support requests (if you contact us)
We do not use your information for interest-based advertising.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information.
We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers: We may share information with service providers used to run specific features (for example, RevenueCat for purchases), only as needed for those features.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Data Retention
- Study progress and history are stored locally on your device until you delete them.
- You can remove local study data using the in-app option to erase progress (where available), or by deleting the App.
- Purchase/entitlement records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies and legal requirements.
Your Choices and Controls
- Erase local progress: Use the "Erase All Progress" option in the App (if present) to delete local study data for CCSE English on that device.
- Delete the App: Removing the App typically removes its locally stored data from that device.
- Restore purchases: You can use "Restore Purchases" to re-check Premium status on a device.
Children's Privacy
CCSE English is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
International Users
If you use CCSE English outside your home country, your information may be processed in other countries (for example, by Apple or RevenueCat) as part of providing in-app purchases.
